Elżbieta Dembowska, MD, PhD, has been working as an academic teacher at the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin for 28 years. She is the author and co-author of more than 200 academic papers published in perr-reviewed national and international journals. Her academic achievements are also complemented by conference addresses presented at over 100 conventions, conferences as well as national and international symposiums. She specialises in general dentistry, periodontology and dental prosthodontics.
Her habilitation thesis entitled: “Relation between complex periodontal and orthodontic treatment in patients with advanced, chronic and aggressive periodontitis” underlines the main interests and trends towards interdisciplinary treatment of patients with advanced forms of periodontitis. Co-authored manuals and papers on multi-specialty treatment of periodontitis.
For the last 20 years, she has been conducting trainings and courses on periodontitis treatment, dental laser therapy, physical therapy and microsurgery of periodontium for professionals who specialise in periodontology.
Currently, she is the Head of Department of Periodontology and Oral Mucosal Diseases at the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin.
She is a member of national and international dentistry societies.
